We have been in business since the 2010 when, during the height of the recession, we were set up by Gordon O’Neill. Since then he’s taken Goldfish from helping sole traders and SMEs get virtual numbers to provide corporate telecoms services to large international companies like IDG and Dropbox and serving customers across five continents.

Goldfish’s founder and CEO recently spoke at the UPRISE Festival in Dublin. UPRISE is not your normal tech event, it has been styled on the theme of an outdoor music festival, with DJs, a laidback bean-bag-approach to business and picnic tables for exhibitors instead of stands. It was great to be at such a quirky tech event and we even took a Lotus Exige sports with us that we sponsor; it went down a treat (you can see it here).

Based in our offices in Greystones, County Wicklow, this opportunity is relevant to people already in roles such as existing Technical Support Agents and also, but not restricted to, Service Desk Engineers or Network Engineers.
You’ll be dealing with customer support enquiries by phone and email on a daily basis, so you’ll need to be very comfortable in a customer focused role and have a good technical background. We provide cloud telecoms, VoIP and Quvu our contact management software to businesses across Ireland, some of which have international operations. Most customers access our numbers with a VoIP handset, also known as a SIP phone. However, a lot of customers also use a softphone, either as their main phone or in addition to a handset.
All Goldfish customers get a free 3CX softphone for each user on their accounts. There is a pre-configured download in the MyGoldfish Control Panel with the account’s SIP ID and user name already included.
The 3CX can be used independently to answer or make calls via your Goldfish number. Or it can be used alongside our Grandstream handsets and the GSWave app. You can have two of either a handset, app and softphone configured on each account; when you receive a call they will both ring at the same time. Please note only two devices can be registered per user.
Our latest wonder of the week brings back images of white suits and screaming girls. But since his boy band heyday, Keith Duffy, Ireland’s favourite member of Boy Zone (sorry Ronan) has moved into the world of tyres with Tyreland.
Now we think they missed a trick by not renaming the company Tyre Zone in Keith’s honour, but by the time he partnered with the company last year, Tyreland were already a well established and respected brand across Dublin.
Just like us, Tyreland began trading 7 years ago during the recession and has grown steadily since. Tyreland are now using Goldfish’s VoIP telecoms services in all six of their branches. A couple of weeks ago we launched our ‘Sack The Suit campaign with Dropbox in aid of Irish charity Irish St. Vincent de Paul.
