Our latest wonder of the week brings back images of white suits and screaming girls. But since his boy band heyday, Keith Duffy, Ireland’s favourite member of Boy Zone (sorry Ronan) has moved into the world of tyres with Tyreland.

Now we think they missed a trick by not renaming the company Tyre Zone in Keith’s honour, but by the time he partnered with the company last year, Tyreland were already a well established and respected brand across Dublin.

Just like us, Tyreland began trading 7 years ago during the recession and has grown steadily since. Tyreland are now using Goldfish’s VoIP telecoms services in all  six of their branches. Five across Dublin: Glasnevin, Clarehall, Sword, Kimmage and Clearwater; and a sixth branch in Navan. The company already employs 20 staff and is looking for further sites for expansion.

 The Greystones based company’s new ‘Head of Sales and Business             Development’ aims to target its cloud services to large blue-chip companies

19th June, 2017; Greystones, Wicklow, Ireland: Cloud telecoms company Goldfish.ie has today announced its hiring of experienced technology sales professional, Jonathan Bunce, to fill the new role of ‘Head of Sales and Business Development’. Set up in 2010, the firm is undergoing rapid growth. The number of Irish companies signing up for its VoIP telecoms services is continuing to increase. It also now provides Software as a Service (SaaS), with demand beginning to take off for Quvu, its cloud-based contact centre management software.

Jonathan has 22 years’ experience in front line sales roles for major tech companies in Ireland and the UK.  He moved to Ireland in 2006 to join the management team at eircom PhoneWatch. In over 8 years at eircom he had considerable success, leading multiple call centres and increasing customers by 75%.  Before moving to Goldfish he spent time in the e-learning sector driving expansion into the global telecoms market and East Asia.

Gordon O’Neill, Goldfish’s CEO, said “Over the past 7 years we have established ourselves as a major provider of Cloud Telecoms VoIP services. While this remains the core of our business, the area where we are seeing the largest growth in demand, is for ‘Quvu’, our cloud-based contact centre management software. The tech sector changes rapidly, so you have to think ahead and listen to your customers. What we are hearing is that companies want the ability to license software and services through the Cloud, so we believe this supply model will be a key area of future growth for us. We needed to bring in an experienced tech-sales professional to help us achieve this and Jonathan Bunce fitted the bill perfectly.”

National Enterprise Awards

There was a nice preview feature in the business section of today’s Irish Independent on next weeks finals of the National Enterprise Awards and the 32 companies from all over Ireland that are through to the Finals.

The National Enterprise Awards are being held on Thursday (25th May) in The Mansion House, Dublin 1. In attendance will be the Taoiseach. Twelve awards will be presented including eight regional awards.  The overall winner will receive €10,000 to invest in their business.  It’s black tie, so are going to have to abandon our ‘no suits’ rule for the evening and be on best behaviour, but we are looking forward to it.

The Nationa Enterprise Awards focus on SMEs of 10 people or less that are deemed by Enterprise Ireland to have a lot of potential for success, particularly in the export market.

You can transfer all your existing telephone number/s to Goldfish without a break in service.

Here’s how to transfer your number to Goldfish.ie?

1. To be able to transfer your existing number to Goldfish, first you’ll need to sign up for an account and telephone number with us. Go to Goldfish.ie business phone numbers and click ‘Sign Up Now’. Go through the registration process (it’s not long). This will ask you to choose a telephone, but as you are keeping your existing number just pick any number, it doesn’t matter which, as you are not going to use it; this is solely to facilitate you registering. Your existing number will then be redirected to your new Goldfish.ie account (you can also use the Voip number too alongside your existing number if you wish).

2.  Please print off, complete, sign and scan the porting/transfer form. If you don’t have a scanner a photograph can often do, as long as it is readable. You can download the form here:  Goldfish number transfer – Porting Form

3. Then please email the completed form back to us at support@goldfish.ie, along with a copy of your existing bill or invoice from your existing provider.

4. Once the forms have been submitted and verified, it normally takes about one working week for your number to be transferred/ported to us. We will ensure there is no gap in service though. As soon as we get confirmation from your existing provider of the transfer date, we’ll immediately notify you when the number is due to be transferred, so that you know when to stop using your existing telephone service and switch to Goldfish.ie.
