CLOUD TELECOMS FIRM GOLDFISH HAS BEEFED UP ITS SALES                                                     TEAM WITH SENIOR SALES PROFESSIONAL JONATHAN BUNCE

The Greystones based company’s new ‘Head of Sales and Business             Development’ aims to target its cloud services to large blue-chip companies

19th June, 2017; Greystones, Wicklow, Ireland: Cloud telecoms company Goldfish.ie has today announced its hiring of experienced technology sales professional, Jonathan Bunce, to fill the new role of ‘Head of Sales and Business Development’. Set up in 2010, the firm is undergoing rapid growth. The number of Irish companies signing up for its VoIP telecoms services is continuing to increase. It also now provides Software as a Service (SaaS), with demand beginning to take off for Quvu, its cloud-based contact centre management software.

Jonathan has 22 years’ experience in front line sales roles for major tech companies in Ireland and the UK.  He moved to Ireland in 2006 to join the management team at eircom PhoneWatch. In over 8 years at eircom he had considerable success, leading multiple call centres and increasing customers by 75%.  Before moving to Goldfish he spent time in the e-learning sector driving expansion into the global telecoms market and East Asia.

Gordon O’Neill, Goldfish’s CEO, said “Over the past 7 years we have established ourselves as a major provider of Cloud Telecoms VoIP services. While this remains the core of our business, the area where we are seeing the largest growth in demand, is for ‘Quvu’, our cloud-based contact centre management software. The tech sector changes rapidly, so you have to think ahead and listen to your customers. What we are hearing is that companies want the ability to license software and services through the Cloud, so we believe this supply model will be a key area of future growth for us. We needed to bring in an experienced tech-sales professional to help us achieve this and Jonathan Bunce fitted the bill perfectly.”

Specialist recruitment agency Red Tree Recruitment was appointed to handle the hiring process.

iRadio New’s ‘Friday Feeling’ interviews Gordon O’Neill about ‘Sack The Suit’

Big thanks for iRadio for covering our Sack The Suit campaign for their Feel Good Friday new slot last week. It’s in aid of SVP – Society of St. Vincent de Paul Ireland. There’s been a great reaction to the campaign with companies from all the country getting involved and running clothes’ drives. They’re desperate for clothes, so if you’d like to get involved too, just call 016876996 and we’ll send you some sacks.

Compare your bills

local telephone number

Many companies are still paying too much for their telecoms. You can cut telecoms costs by allowing us to compare your existing bill with what you could be paying with Goldfish.ie

Cloud telecoms allows you to plug your desk phones into the internet and get access to lower call costs. It also provides a host of other services, such as automatic recording of all your incoming and outgoing calls;  an IVR “press 1 for sales, 2 for support etc” and with no on-site equipment you have no maintenance costs. What’s not to love?

Sends us over your existing telecoms bill and we will compare it with what you could save by switching to Goldfish.ie. Call us on 016876999 or email sales@goldfish.ie

Call recording

No more arguments over what was agreed, with Call Recording

We’ve all been there, when the customer disagrees with you over what they said was requested. You remember the conversation clearly and have delivered what they asked for. But they are adamant that they agreed something different with you and you can’t convince them otherwise. You inevitably give ground because you don’t want to lose them as a customer, but it ends up costing you more money. Well, it no longer has to be this way.

Great thing about moving to a modern cloud telecoms system is that, as well as providing low cost telephone calls, you also get access to host of other services that you can’t get with a traditional telephone system.  This includes Call Recording.

Goldfish’s Call Recording service records all your incoming and outgoing phone calls and keeps them in your account, so you can access them  from anywhere in the world. So it doesn’t matter if you are on safari in Zambia, or beach in Barbados, if you get a call from an irate customer who is wondering why what you delivered is different to what they were expecting. All you have to do is log into your Control Panel and listen to the call to clarify what was agreed. You can even download the MP3 and send it to them for confirmation.

These days it is a legal requirement to record all telephone calls in many industries, such as insurance and financial services, so Call Recording is a must have.  It is also perfect for sectors where even a little misunderstanding can lead to big problems, such as the legal sector or the media, where recording interviews is a big help.  But for any business dealing with clients and customers on a day-to-day basis Call Recording is a godsend. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Goldfish call save recordings of all your calls for 1 year (for €2.49 + vat), or 6 years (for €7.49 + vat) per user. Better still, the first month is free if you use the promo-code: callrec16 when you sign up.

If you are already a Goldfish.ie customer just login to your Control Panel and add Call Recording there. If you are a new customer just sign up here: Goldfish.ie

sack the suit

Time to sack the suit

Summer is here and whilst many companies temporarily allow a relaxation in their dress codes during the warmer months, at Goldfish.ie we’ve decide to permanently adopted a casual dress code. Our CEO Gordon has wholeheartedly taken this approach on board by even getting rid of all his suits and ties. Yes, all of them. They’ve all been donated to St. Vincent de Paul.

Gordon doesn’t need his suits and ties anymore as Goldfish.ie is not a ‘suited and booted’ company. So they were just taking up much-need wardrobe space. During the hot spell Ireland has been having Gordon has even been wearing shorts to the office, as have many of his staff. We’ve even a hashtag on Twitter #shortswatch monitoring this bare-legged approach.

Gordon O’Neill says: “Being a modern company is not just about having modern products or services, you also need to have modern working practices. Too often Ireland is seen as being behind the times or slow to catch up –  this needs to change. At Goldfish.ie we have a very relaxed approach to our dress code, so my suits were just gathering dust and taking up space. I’ve sacked my suits, so I’m asking companies to join our campaign and sack their suits too. It will help them modernise and in doing so will also benefit a good cause.”

We are now asking all out customers to sack their suits too. We’ve already modernised their telecoms and now it is time to modernise their dress codes. For any company that wants to take part we’ll send them some St Vincent de Paul sacks to fill.

There is a wider case though, as relaxed dress code can boost productivity and aid staff-retention. Here is a bit more of our thinking:

5 Reasons To Sack The Suit

1. It’s 2016 stop dressing like a gangster from the 1920s.
2. It’s the summer, no one should be subjected to wearing a suit and tie. Formal attire is hot to work in and can be uncomfortable, which leads to a drop in productivity.
3. It makes good business sense: suits and ties strangle creative thinking and harm business development. To be creative you need to be relaxed and you can’t do that dressed as a stiff. There is a reason creative companies have relaxed working practices.
4. It’s also good for recruitment: staff like to be in companies where they are treated like adults, instead of made to dress like school kids; you’ll find it easier to recruit good staff if you have a modern working environment.
5. The cost: formal attire is expensive and wears out quickly. Your staff will appreciate you for not making them buy expensive clothes that they only wear for work, weddings and funerals.
How can companies join Sack The Suit

We are in the process of agree a charity as a partner on the campaign, but until then they can just give us a call on 016876996 and we will get some sacks sent out to them.
